S Series Coolant fitting
I have a block that the fitting was removed on, do I need to put any sealer on the fitting before I screw it back into the block?
I use oil resistant teflon tape each time.
I vote yes to some sort of thread sealer

No, the fitting near the thermostat.
I think saturn used some type of teflon stuff. Or it could have been the stuff they brush on the threads and let dry before install. Whatever is was I always remembered it being white-ish.
I would just used a few laps of teflon tape and build it up kinda thick about 2-3 thread back on the fitting and then send it home.
