Just because you do it, doesnt mean he wants to do it. He has a good point. Dropping too low is bad, and 2.5 100% of the time daily is too low.Originally Posted by ProjectSL2

they will settle to about the 2" they are rated at. when you first put them on, the drop wont seem as apparent, once they have settled, you'll get your 2". if i had to give you an approx...about 1/4 - 1/4 inch. so expect a 1.5" to 1.75" drop when you first put the car back on the ground

Sweet, thanks man. so is the install pretty straight forward, or would you recommend a shop?
go to autozone and rent a spring compressor, it's easy to do yourself, then just take it to get aligned.Originally Posted by Rhyan17

ok, are any of these springs mentioned here NOT either progressive or variable rate? also, for a strictly performance application, which strut would be better? kyb or springtech?

*No one knows any real specifics on the ST struts as far as dampening goes. But the general consensus is that they are stiffer than KYB GR-2s.

Can anyone dig up a pic of a first gen SL/SW with Eibachs? Couldn't find anything.

I just got off the phone with them, and it is an old site... but it is a valid one. The guy i talked to said that they dont keep anything in stock - they are a distributor. He then said nobody's called about the progess springs (saturn) in a long time; my guess is cuz they are discontinued...
anyway, he had me on hold for 30 minutes while he checked with his sister company; then the call disconnected. I waited 15 minutes, then called back and got no answer at all. So my guess is that they dont have them at all, and the guy didnt have the heart to tell me. Anyone else is welcome to give em a call.

I just ordered B&G 1.75 inch drop springs for my gen 1 sl2, I'll get pics and write up a review. It would also be nice to have these added to the first post.

I've been running my Suspension Techniques for awhile. The ride is good and the height is still high enough that the speed bumps at work dont bother me.
My friends yaris hits the speed bumps every time unless he crawls over them. Even then he sometimes hits with any extra people in the car. His is lowered ~2inches.
My springs do seem to have settled closer to 2inches rather than the rated 1.4. I'm hoping the rears hold up when I add ~120lbs to the trunk.
I used springtech struts. So far no problems from them. But if I had read about the quality/consistancy issues (posted elsewhere on this forum) before buying them I would have paid the extra to get KYB.
