Confirmed, traction control light stays on for the torrent cluster on my 3rd gen SC2 (2001)

Removed the question asking for verification. I will be working on the main post to be updated and expanded tomorrow.

Anyone out there who has done cluster swaps, please post your findings so I can add it to the main post.

    Cluster swaps:
    - (00-02) L-Series cluster works fine with 01 SC2. Engine light works, no error codes pop up.
    - (02-07) Vue cluster works with 2000 LW2. Wrench light stays on, SES light works normally (I have it on because it's actually throwing a code)

I never did any info for swapping into an l series because that's not what the thread was about. And as far as I knew, 00-02 l clusters are the exact same clusters as the stock third gen ones so there was no reason to post that either.

Different faces, but yes I know they are almost the same. To the person who is researching though, and doesn't know that, it's good to have anyways.

I figure we can somehow just have a master swap list, and add any experience anyone has had so it's a one stop resource for people. No reason to have information scattered about, or a new thread made for the L series for no reason.

There is a difference between should and verified.

If this thread is operating on what ifs and someone is looking for a definitive answer, then this thread is useless.

If someone comes along and tries it out and verifies it, then that opinion should be welcome. I don't get what you're arguing.

Edit: unless you're arguing that its only a S Series swap thread in which case edit your thread title to "S Series Cluster Swap Thread" and get the other information about Vues and L series off there if you're going to be that picky.

I just posted a vue cluster and extra needles in the classified section. I never got around to doing the swap in my exes car and I never did turn my speedo needles blue like I wanted.

Pull it all the way apart and desolder the led from the board... Haven't seen anyone go through the trouble for that though.

    Electrical rape might be easier.

Okay so I know this has been covered numerous times but is there a cluster that actually works perfectly? I mean one that the speedo is correct, still has the shift light, doesn't pop a service light ,or traction control light and when there's actually an issue the CEL light shows up? Or should I rip apart my cluster and throw new LED's and parts from other clusters into it?

Clusters work the same. Just pop random lights. Did you not read the first post? Where did you get the idea that the speedos are off

Oh someone towards the beginning of the section said because the speedos marked up differently so they're constantly looking down and trying to figure out exactly what speed they were going. As for the lights that was my question is there one that works fine without random lights? And that when you actually throw a code it shows up? Or is that not possible because the ecu/pcm/bcm that controls each are different from that of the s series?

I think they meant like the needles aren't perfectly lined up mirroring the stock cluster. Things slightly out of place for how your eyes are used to glancing. Numbers will still match up, you'll just have to relearn how to quickly glance and know your speed.
