    emailer - Do you think you will ever be doing a guide to modding the gen1 PCM for dummies? Like with part numbers, walkthrough, etc?

    How so? I did the socketing tutorial, although I'm trying to make communication easier now (so for some mods it won't be necessary). As for the assembly code, I can't really make a tutorial for that. It has taken me years to figure out what I have on the 1993 code, and I've barely touched any other years.

    All of my disassembly I do in IDAPro, and my disassembly is my absolute bible. I use it when designing protocols to communicate over the SCI (Diagnostic) bus, how to know what parameters to use for tables, everything.

    I'm slowly designing a TunerPro file to edit the calibration EEPROMs, as well as eventually communicating with an Arduino as a make-shift "emulation" device. The difference is it will not replace any component on the original ECU and instead will flash it over the SCI Bus (ALDL)

    This is ONLY for the 1993 EPROM with ID $0909. You have to create a disassembly for every rom revision, although adjacent years should be similar.

    Now the datastream (ALDL / SCI bus) should be the same for OBD1 years, so the EFILive v4 definition I put up recently here should be fine

    The disassembly is like a personal notebook, so expect odd nomenclature, questions, incorrect information, etc...

    Disassembly here (97.7KB maximum for a zip file, WTF?)

    I've included a 12MB (!) html file so those without idapro can at least attempt to read it

    seeing recent posts on OBD1 saturn ECU chipping/programming pleases me endlessly. everything else i've read is from 2003/4 and many links are broken. thank you emailer33!!!11 and lucky me, I have a 1993

    Emailer, have you or do you plan on adding all the DTC's to your efilive definition file? I thought about trying to tackle it myself but have no clue where to start.

    I am abandoning my EFILive definition. I don't like using paid software, especially something so outdated and finicky to use, everything will now be in TunerPro RT.

    Emailer, you said you updated the spark scaling, what exactly did you do?

    Am I correct in saying the spark values you pulled from the obd1 computer in the timing map thread are -10 comparative to actual spark advance?

    The crank does have a 10 degree offset from TDC...that might be the reason.

    Wow.... Just read/skimmed through all 8 pages.

    Was there ever a completed flash file for a 95 dohc mt with boost? I have not read through all of the external links but from what I have been reading it would be possible to use my 1995 OBD1 computer to reference boost and increase fuel delivery. Is this correct?

    I hope to figure out more of this because if it is possible to run the stock pcm with a sweet hack I would be all on that shit. For a complete coding noob would this be something to stay the hell away from or is it possible to get someone to program a prom to stuff in my pcm to correct for 8-10lbs of turbo boost?
