So this happened so far today...woops...

    Ready for war...

    Primed, woot...

I didn't spend too much time sanding near the bottom because I still need to build+glass the center console to flow down into the floor + bottom of the baffle so there will be plenty more sanding down the road...

Kinda weird looking with it still wet, not the most photogenic :/ I'm considering painting a lighter color overtop of it...

I think a lighter color down the road would make it seem like there is a bit more room. More appealing.

But a lighter color can sometimes be harder to clean, so there's a trade off.

    Looks good though!

Yea I liked the look when the primer was on but I think the black shows more imperfections, we shall see. I'm leaving it be for a while lol

^Have no fear, I still have fantastic hearing...low notes like the ones it plays don't damage the ear as badly as you'd think, much less damaging than listening to heavy metal all the time (which I actually like, I need to beef up my mids + highs game)

So...found bass-damage yesterday while replacing my 8-yr-old Pioneer 6.5" REV-series comps (with a bnib pair from 8 years ago when I bought them )...both front doors exterior panels had multiple mounting points torn from the panel and just flapping....had to throw a couple screws in...next year/this winter the doors will be beefed up

^Tear @ one of the door mounting points slowly making it's way up.

I have some pioneer REV 6.5" coaxial in my basement. I ran them about 6 months then after not using that car awhile I pulled them and put them back in their boxes.

Some of the nicest sounding coaxial speakers I've ever heard. Excellent clean but not too sharp highs and damn good midbass for what it is. Iirc... The components and coaxial are exactly the same speakers just different mounting options. Probably a better passive crossover on the components though the one built into the coaxial is one of the more intricate I've seen on a coaxial.

Good suggestion, but im not too worried @ this point, shortly down the road the doors will be bulletproof, built similarly to the roof
