I also vote that you are required to be in an area that experiences real amounts of snow, not just somewhere where it has fallen once and melted.

I vote that as long as your beater is equipped for real snow, I don't care if you are in so-cal. Of course, I think your beater should be beat also.

If I get my heater core in the mail this week I'll toss the Samurai up. Though you didn't say it had to be running without leaking coolant. Luckilly We haven't had much snow, this year...yet...knock on wood. Ive been driving my SL around.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

How are those coilovers holding up in the snow? I can't quite bring myself to install mine just yet.

    You guys are funny.

It just has to be a running vehicle that you use, if it does not have an engine in it, or no suspension, shit like that, than no, it's not a running vehicle.

Just a winter beater, I would think the more beat, the better chance it has but the voting is up to all of you on that subject. As Travis said, I don't give a damn where the car is from as long as it's truly a winter beater or just a plain ol' beater lol.

To date I have four entries, all four are Saturns, three I would call beaters.................and the other, not really.

EDIT: Just got two more entries that definitely fit the spirit of this little contest haha.

Tomorrow I'll be replacing a part that will hopefully get my beater to be more reliable. I'll wait for snow before I take pics though...

I think attempting to improve reliability using junkyard parts (electrical parts at that) because I dont feel it is worth paying 10x as much for the new part helps the beater factor... haha

So a Trans Am sittin on summer tires with the t-tops out would probably not be a winter beater, eh?

To go off what Seann already said, even if a nice car enters, that doesn't really fit the scheme of this competition so my vote would go to the most beat, most awesomest car that enters. I'd hope everyone else would vote the same way in the name of the contest. This isn't the nicest most comfy car you drive in the winter contest haha.

Dammit, I just picked up a 93 s10 Blazer that is 3 different colors, has 3 mismatched wheels, holes in the floor boards and a rope tied between the rear doors since both latches are rusted off. . Traded a factory s10 catback exhaust for it. I lost 2,3,4 today while pulling an empty car trailer. Probably going in for scrap now on said car trailer

EDIT: Also, no fair buying a car just to enter it in the contest...lol

Sadly, we have only had about 4 inches total of snow this year. So they haven't really had much problems with the stuff yet.

I did get my heater core this week. Will be installing tomorrow. We are supposed to get some snow this weekend so hopefully I will get an appropriate pic.
