Marc will put something up there, just going to call it winter beater of the months or something, last few ROTMS have had NO interest so I am going to let it die again. In the spring i'll run a ROTM where ALL makes and models can compete, since the all Saturn contest seems to have died again. Maybe by summer i'll start it up but I am not going to beg people to enter.

FYI, I will boycott a non-saturn ROTM Id rather the same person wins with ONE vote 3 months in a row than a non-saturn up there. Its a Saturn site. I don't care if half the members have moved on to better things.

Maybe open it up to project cars? Would be funny and would give thoes of us with shells sitting under tarps and in the back corner of garages something to post up. Better than a Non-Saturn anyday IMO.

Tony it's a pretty lame contest when you only have 2 or 3 saturns enter lol.

So? Its a lame brand of cars. Knowing this crowd, if we allow other makes, we will never see an Scar up there again. Unless its a board celebrities car, or something.

You didn't have any problem with the tie in the Suzuki though? Or it didn't seem anyway. That was of a different make.

True, because it was a dedicated "winter beater month". Different concept. It makes sense to have a rusty truck/pos of some sort featured on a performance car forum when half the board is covered in snow and the 'nicer' cars are put away for winter.

So why wouldn't it make sense 1 month to have one for all makes. That is a different concept which applies to half of the board as well. Exactly the same thing you just said if I am adding it up correctly.

Why do people get butthurt over ROTM? Nobody participates in it the way it is. May as well do something to get a little more traffic, otherwise Seann is just gonna axe it all together.

Having ONE month out of the year open to other makes is an awesome idea. Can't wait to see some of the beauties some of these guys have stashed away.

    Exactly.

You all know that I prefer it to be completely brand loyal since this IS a Saturn site but when NOBODY enters for two or three months in a row, what is the point? I am not saying opening it to all makes forever, just going to do like I did for WBOTM, sometime in the Spring a nice contest for whatever anybody has. I will not beg people to enter their cars, I would much rather it died or somebody else can beg lol. Just figure this will spice it up a little bit and then we might try to go back to normal. If still no interest, I guess we'll jump to a quarterly thing or maybe just kill it off for good.

I think quarterly would be a good idea. That would give a considerable amount of time between for members to do more things to the car, more time to get the car in better condition for pictures, ect. And at 4 a month, you can't win twice in a year, still leaving enough worthy cars to get a ROTQ to fill the year. Just a thought.
