    Sleeper of the month?

I think we could have fun with new ideas for the ride of the month contest.

Straying from the typical nice all around ride of the month how about a sleeper of the month? I think thats the only thing my car is worthy of right now its quite lacking on the exterior/interior side of things.

I like it, this is where mine would end up when done, and open would get a lot more entries.

    Nah.

People vote based on what they feel is the "best" car. If that's a sleeper, they will vote for it, we don't need to dedicate a contest to it since you want your car to win. lol

lol well in time she will be ready. I guess owning a boosted saturn no matter what it looks like is a sleeper in itself.

Yeah, most of us don't like flash. If you got a piece of shit that moves, we tend to like it.

Psh, I think my busted rear quarter gives the wagon some character. But I'm whack like that.

Can we have a "Foreign Car swapped with a better engine from the same manufacturer of the month?"

    Haha.

I was just pointing out how dumb it is to ask to start a contest tailored specifically for your car.

hhmm i'm thinking the only way my saturn will win a ride of the month is if i were to swap out the engine for a sky redline engine or a blown GM 350 crate engine :P

actually... thats what i wanted to to to my saturn back in 2004 (so part of me wasn't joking when i said a GM crate motor..).. my junior year of high school. Then i realized that i wouldn't be able to realize that dream unless i had enough money to take the saturn off the road and make it a project.

i think i will just never realize that dream haha

As far as potential swaps go, a Carburated SBC would theoretically be one of the easier...

Running the engine would be a snap. The harder part would be shoe-horning it in. The knuckles would need to be swapped and the bearings filled with a retainer of some sort, Rack moved forward, Firewall and Exhaust tunnel would need to be cut and replaced with a dog house and trans tunnel. Custom drive shaft, and shortened down solid rear (Unless you'd want to explore the potential swap-ability of the Nissan 240 IRS rear on on chassis). Then mounts, plumbing and odds and ends.

(Just off the top of my head)

SBC's have been stuck in smaller and odder things...

    Ethanol and Boost: My Anti-Drugs.

1999 Ford Dangah Rangah XLT - Junk haulin' junker-slut.

well an SBC would be nice! but my car is running great now so if i EVER wanna do a swap it would be much later (my compression is 200, 190, 180, 180 so its doing well )

speaking of swaps... best swap i've seen in a long time:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSM_X...eature=related

okay back to topic... my sig tells the truth about the thread hijacking haha

and by the way, my thought process was that it would be easier to build a custom frame that i can put the body of my SC2 on it haha
