    I'm more skeeved out if I have higher lift cams that it'll make shit interfere. I'll send an email out to Ross to get their input. I suppose I didn't have contact issues with the original pistons with my .040 deck and no reliefs on the exhaust side.

    After holding both pistons (Old and new) over the open valves and eyeballing the height from the head deck, I've concluded that there isn't much of a difference between the two. Of course that's not the most accurate assessment since I was also using my hands to try to center the pistons the best that I could over the valves while using the head gasket as a bore reference.

    But I compared the old Ross piston to a SOHC piston and they have the same over all dimensions/height and the SOHC piston has a way bigger flat area than either piston. That's similar to what Sam was saying, if we've got guys who DOHC swap a SOHC bottom end and aren't bashing valves, this should be alright.

    Ross also confirmed that it would be alright. Just dropped the pistons off at the shop.

    Called up the machine shop and it sounds like they are kinda mobbed. I'll have to wait a couple weeks to have them confirm block deck flatness and what the bore diameter will be before ordering the MLS gasket.

    Guess this gives me time to try and set up the knock sensor like I should have before.
