Ya I'm starting to not care as much about fuel economy. I don't drive it much and when I do I just want to have fun with it. That thread is hilarious lol

Why do trucks always rock the mechanical fan vs. electric?

I believe it's because mechanical fans have the ability to cool substantially better (for towing). They have a lot more horsepower on tap then their electric counterparts.

That being said I never plan on towing with this truck so electric fans it is.

Also part of the plan with all of this is to sell the truck. The TBI 350 under the hood has been great to me over the years but she's starting to consume coolant pretty good.

I don't want to put money into that ancient technology so I'm swapping the LQ4 in to have a little fun before I sell but ultimately make it very attractive to buyers.
