door to door or mirror to mirror? Either way still a tight squeeze. I would chop off that other upright on the left side. Just for a bit of extra room when pulling in. Other than that it looks great

If you have the ability to pour a pad and refurb this, wouldn't it just be easier to stick build something? Seems like the dimensions are very limiting.

This! You're going to kick yourself later if you don't widen the door opening. Either when you knock a mirror off your Saturn or later down the road when you obtain a wider car or truck.

I'm not putting walls on it until later, just going to wrap out with plastic (limited time and budget). But that is the plan, if its too tight to cut out that other upright.

Prodarwin. I just took the shipping crate apart and am putting it back together with a little bit of cutting. I'm not welding pieces together to build this. Plus my original plan was to just put down plywood in the short run.

Went to a crazy event in Kearney Nebraska tonight.

Simply called cruise night. The main streets become a parade route for any and all type of cars. People are just camped on the side of the streets in what ever parking lot they can find. Has to be close to 1000 cars up and down the streets. Cops are around just keeping everything civil and orderly.

Have some pictures and videos to post when the night is done. I heard 1320 videos is around somewhere.

That's cool. I've never made it out there for cruise night. Always wanted too. Had buddies that used to ride along down there for it. It's only about 60 miles from me. Just never seems to be in the schedule. Lol.
Was contemplating rallycross tomorrow.. woulda been fun. But got shit on the last few days and just don't feel up to it. Hopefully Everything works out and I'll be able to make it to auto cross next weekend.

Lost to my co-driver at VIR but otherwise did very well. He was almost 3 seconds ahead (583 seconds vs 586), but I was 16 seconds ahead of the next closest guy. Some of the competition placed well at regional events, so this is promising should we decide to take the car to Nationals.

Took the 3G on a quick loop out on the freeway. Seems to run well but a little low on power. I think the 2 steps closer plugs I still have in there from when it was in the turbo car probably has something to do with that so I'll take a stab at that tomorrow night probably. Runs well though otherwise.

On my way to church yesterday morning, we had a nice cold front come through so it was 67* and low humidity.

Person in front of me was doing a little under the speed limit, had a closing opportunity in the on coming lane so I took it.

Down shifted into 3rd gear at about 45mph I was very quickly going 70mph+ and spinning tires (hit limiter) passing this poor lady.

I was not trying to be obnoxious but that's the first time this car has ever literally blown the tires off at 70mph.

Wagon is only at 11psi right now but this 2.2l motor is set on kill with this precision snail force feeding it.

Long story short it put a smile on my face and scared the crap out of me at the same time.

Uploaded 31 videos from the past 2 events to YouTube. Actually, just processing #32 now, which is a side-by-side run comparison. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMC...s_do4WhV-qDSqg I'll embed a good one here once they finish processing.

For what its worth, if you need a good free video editing tool, I highly recommend Davinci Resolve 14. Its crazy powerful, but its also still simple to use for simple things.

Today's my birthday so I got a new to me shopvac 10gal 3hp (for free) to help with the detailing of my Swagon. Changing the oil today and headed to the junkyard this weekend to get another radiator. I'll do the O2 sensor and inspection this weekend and she'll be good to go.

Actually planned time for car work today. Redline got new left rear caliper, speed bleeders inatalled and a fluid flush with Typ 200 DOT 4.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

Found the perfect sticker for my wagon. I'm not much for stickers but this I had to buy right away. After waiting a week I found out it was shipped from Iceland. Guess I should have looked more at the discription. Lol

i have a feeling the picture isn't going to show up. Duck Photobucket

Did struts, mounts and boots on the Bentra. Got junky KYBs from Rockauto. Front left has a hex cutout in the top of the strut shaft and about 1/2" of thread once you put the nut on. Front right has 2 flats on the shaft instead of the hex and about 1/8" of thread after the nut goes on. Weird.

Also pulled the evap canister since the car kept peeing vinegar everytime I put gas in it. Vent valve is fucked, screw is sheared off into the canister, and rtv is caked everywhere. Fucking hack mechanics.

So, it's harder than anticipated to find free dirt.

I mean there is free dirt available, but it's further than i'm willing to drive to get. I think i'm going to steal broken pallets from work and use that wood as a temp floor to at least get the car out of the rain.
