not the best view but an idea of how 3/4" spacing with stock wheels on the rear. still some gap but not as much. another 1/4" would fit

I don't think the wagons or the fourdoors had as much body over hang. At least I've never walked up to a first gen SL or SW and wanted to throw up because of the offset. The 96 I have looks terrible. Ive yet to be under the car, so it's possible something is awry.

Coupes look worse about it for sure. The 4 doors just look squared up and fuller when spaced out in back. Coupes look like they outgrew the rear suspension/ wheels.

Eh. IMO 1G Wagons are the worst. I can't see pic above because work firewall.

I'm actually wondering if the 1/2" spacer on the back of my 2g sedan was a little too much and I might need to go 1/4" more up front to even it out. Its still on stock wheels though... so like 2" inboard of edge of fender lol.

So my car has a death whine. Initially it sounded like typical auto trans whine. But now its really noticeable, even stopped in neutral if you rev it. Varies with RPM Starts appearing around 2000rpm, really bad at about 3k. Over 3.5 or 4k the engine is too noisy to hear it.

Hoping its the alternator because easy button. Have to take car to airport to fly to Boston tomorrow and Belize next week, don't want to have any breakdowns.

pulled the turbo, manifold, and exhaust off. Replacing it with my other OE exhaust.

I'll be attempting to run the MS3 on an NA setup with stock injectors to see why it keeps frying 2 injectors after a coupe weeks....

    Fucking shitty aftermarket parts.

Idler pulley. Was last replaced 6/16/2012, 58000 miles ago.

    Sounds extremely frustrating man

I got the MS on my coupe hooked to my laptop via Bluetooth finally. Getting rid of the cable is awesome, I can park my car in the street and tune it from inside my house haha
Also fiddling with the vacuum lines and the tune, trying to get it dialed in before the good engine goes in

Filed a police report as my 1995 Saturn SC2 got stolen 10 minutes into my work shift. Will see how it looks when or if it comes back.

They used to hang horse thieves. Too bad we don't do the same to the diaper stains that steal cars.

I remember reading somewhere that the 93-95 SL was in the top 5 most stolen cars for 3 or 4 years running in the early 2000's.

I would figure about 2 weeks and otherwise it's gone. Sticks as there are some things that are not readily available.

    SPS strut bar
    SMS throttle body
    Short throw shifter
    Poly engine dog bone mounts
And converted to rear disk brakes

Locked car 45 seconds and stolen if I get another definatley need a hidden switch somewhere.

Pulled the MP2 gears out of my transmission and put in MP3 1-4 with MP2 5th. Low compression DOHC running NA I'll take all the improvement I can get on basic acceleration.

Weld in a small plate above the door latch rods. Last week I found out how easy it is to break into a first gen. I'm sure the sc is even easier with the longer door.

I really don't want to post too much info on how to get Into them.

Had a great drive this morning. Then I got home and started cleaning up and painting my rusted steelies. As soon as I primed the first wheel I went to start it for a sec and Bam NO CRANK NO START. Right out of nowhere. So 8 hours later and I haven't figured it out. So all in all today was a semi productive day.

That sucks, sorry to hear this. Your post inspires me to install a hidden switch.

If you have lights/accessories but no crank, one thing to check is the quality of the connection between the battery positive wire and the underhood fuse box, at the back of the box. I've had a corroded connection here on two different cars... checks ok with voltmeter and low current loads run fine, but not a tick when engaging the starter. Cleaning and applying deoxit fixed it in both cases. Could be something else, but just throwing this out there as its one of the first things I check based on experience. In general, all high current connections are worth investigating IMO.

Driving home yesterday, re-routed because of accident, really rough gravel road and I hear a new noise in the rear end. Pass side trailing arm broke at the bushing end. Limped carefully to friend's house nearby, and then the shifter bushing fails in her driveway. Trailing arms on order.

Traced it to the ignition switch. My dad's Going to help me bypass that thing with a push start or toggle switch. (I know nothing when it comes to wiring)

I was looking at different options and think that my kill switch will be the abs switch above the radio. Mine doesn't have abs and that would integrate it well. Not sure if it will work but I figure it should.
That is if and when it comes back.
