I have been having issues with axles lately. Started to replace the front calipers today and saw all this axle grease over everything AGAIN. This is the third axle in a month. All on warranty but still a hassle

Went single din. It was 25 bucks for the stereo and a pair of speakers. Didnt need high end I just wanted bluetooth functionality. For what it is still does a decent job with the stock 15 year old speakers. Gonna try to swap them out this weekend.

The sound system isn't bad for what it was, but there is no base whatsoever. I'm with you though, I have better things to spend $500 on right now.

Yeah I tolerated it for a bit but I want to be able to play the stuff on my phone and without even having an aux jack it sucked. Regular radio get tiresome hearing the same songs.

The rls gonna be getting a little rehab refurb soon with a new windshield and some new headlights. Need to do new front hubs I think too. I wanna get a few more years out of it.

Well yesterday took a very long time to warm up, turns out the 50./50 mix is not good for -35f so removed 3 quarts of 50/50. and replaced it with 3 quarts concentrate ( prestone) Supposed to be sub zero for the next 2 weeks BRRRRRR, should be good to -60f to -85f now gonna have to change that out once i move to Washington in the spring

Installed some airlift 1000 bags in the back of the Vue. Drove around with them at 5-7 psi and was happy with the reduction in body roll. I pumped them up to 20psi and will see how that rides on the way to work tomorrow. I also added some pucks under the bags to give the bags a solid surface to seat on [Instead of squishing down the bottom coil seat insulator], but the wheel gap in the back is slightly ridiculous, compared to the front now.

Well, even without my pucks, the top of the front wheel wells measure at 29.5" from the ground while the rear wheel wells measure 32" from the ground at minimum pressure....guess I'll keep the improved handling and just deal with the hot rod stance.

Note-To-Self: Aim headlights up after this bullshit deep freeze is over...

Careful, they say those oil pan heaters will cook your oil. An OEM block heater is the best choice if you can find one or failing that a battery heater. Synthetic oil will be thinner than conventional in the cold and will make start ups easier.

I wish i knew what happened to my OEM block heater i had taken off an engine that went bad. I could have used that a few times.

yes they can, most people just slap them on and plug them in all night, not knowing which watt to use. I have a 25 watt one and it's only on for 4 hours get only about 100f I use a timer on it .

Ordered new all season tires for both mine and my wife’s Saturns... I went with LRR tires in hopes of better mileage, but they also should yield better acceleration, as they’re 19# each (205/65-15) while most other options were 20-24#...

Wife’s car is getting upgraded to the factory 16” alloy wheels from the 03-04 Ion, it *should* handle better than stock 15” steels and 195/60 tires...
    2004 ION-2 sedan, L61/F23(M86), 159k and counting...
Too many mods to list in sig, I dont believe in stock...

I have heard of people just sliding an 100w incandescent lamp under the engine and leaving it on all night.

Highly recommend an amp and some components for the front, way louder and more clear since you have more power. Probably do the whole deal for around $200

lemons guys just use dangle a light bulb in the engine bay and leave it on (and shut the hood). Got to use a higher wattage halogen now as the CFL and LED stuff is all too low.
