A very good thread to track what you have done...

Had this Saturn for 3 months, since buying it i have installed a new Transmission Valve Body with the SONNAX sleeve. replaced map, dome and dash lights with LED. replaced the single din radio with a double din touch screen with back up cam. I am currently in the process of replacing the exterior lights. I have also cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the egr, installed new Coils, now getting close to 27 miles per gallon. need Spark plugs and wires, and found out the radiator is leaking at the plastic tank gaskets.

should be ready for winter by Halloween

Got a lovely new tool today and decided to try it out a Bluetooth obdii adapter along with the protorque app. I'm impressed it works so well still don't understand everything. First start up was idling at 1200. Then went down to 1k picked up a secondary error my regular obdii didn't pick up.

Drove my car around NC a bunch, got the ass end loose on the dragon, shit my pants in the driver's seat. Brett was in the passenger's seat, I think he left some pee in it.
I was following Leigh. Leigh is a better driver than I am haha.

    Auto cross weekend for me.

Saterday was a mirrorkana. Kinda like the rally cross you see on tv inside the stadiums. 2 cars on opposite sides of the track race to beat each other around the whole course, with a double elimination bracket. It was more of a fun day for those that attended. The layout was a fast track. Most cars were hitting third on the somewhat straight areas. 3 free cones allowed you to push harder then you normally would. So I used it was a way to see how close to the cones I could get. My third run was my last. I spun out. The rear of the wagon was really loose most of the day knowing I would be eliminated I pushed it as hard as I could.

sunday was a normal solo day. Same course as saterday just in reverse and a few added cones to slow it down. I'm happy to say I got first in my class. Unfortunately I was the only one in that class.
Best run of the day was also the last one. I think I could have been faster. I let off the gas too soon and I am not using the brakes as much as I should.

    still a fun weekend.

I almost know that feeling. My nearly stock '92 is parked with no insurance while I figure out what to do with it.

Averaging 38mpg in the new daily (02 SC2) on the way home from the dragon. Got 32-33mpg on 28 and the skyway, didn't actually take it on the dragon itself but did ride on all the roads surrounding the area with great fuel economy.

If I can figure out what the horrific knock sound is that the car makes when pulling in and out of parking spots I'll probably hang onto it for awhile.

I guess I'm in the minority that I want a CD changer still.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

Installed another new coolant temp sensor just in case the 5month old one was causing my issues. Now I've got a p0701 and p0131. Looks like the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor is acting up (which I just replaced 3 months back) . I'll be monitoring fuel pressure tomorrow to see if I need a fuel filter or fuel pump. I'll buy the 02 sensor (this time a denso and not kwiksen) and fuel filter new and the pump from a junkyard.

Hey guys today I replaced the top o2 sensor once more, and fuel filter. I also performed a vacuum test, and no vacuum leak found. However I stumbled upon two exhaust leaks one before the flex pipe and one hairline crack next to the downstream o2 sensor. I think that may be causing my hesitation and idling issues.

Today I noticed a fuel leak. Fuel leak was coming from a fuel line attached to the fuel filter which was just replaced. Upon pulling one of the fuel lines off I noticed it was leaking and easy to pull off. I kept trying to lock it in place which didn't work. I pulled the clip off of the fuel filter. I noticed the clips were bent to the point where it wouldn't lock in place. Bent them back with some pliers reinstalled and BAM! Immediately locked in place with no leak tested it with a few revs to build some fuel pressure.

Fixed the charging problem in my SL1. Stupid mistake on my part caused me to have issues.

Now it starts, but when it warms up a bit, it will not idle anymore. Time to start a new thread in the noob section. le sigh.
