It appears that the heavier '10-'17 equinoxes used a 25mm rear bar instead of the 22mm bar the Vues and 1st gen Equinox used.

Changed one of the 02 sensor in my vue rl.

Thing was a bitch to get to. But it's done just in time for my emissions test.

Took the intake baffle out and cleaned up some of the gunk and dirt in the engine bay.

On the topic of second gen vues, anyone know of any performance parts for a '10 2.4l ecotec? My wife's terrain is decent, but it could use a boost.

Import Replacement Parts had them for $143 shipped. @JRSTANGE was asking for some on SF and posted that info on the thread. Its possible they have more if he calls them up.

By baffle, do you mean the resonator? I'd like to hear any tips on removing that since I'd like to keep the stock intake box w/o that garbage.

It was kind of a pain, but undid the airbox and the intake tube. Take out the front headlight and signal light. I loosed the wheel liner and fender for space. Theres a 10mm but to remove and on the inside of the frame were the resonator would connect to the box and a connector that holds it in place but no nut to secure it. I used a prybar to get it off then you just gotta tug and pull and maneuver it out from where the light goes. I used a prybar ro get in under it and pry it up. Also remove the 2 plugs that hold the center emblem part of the bumper to the upper part of the frame.

Its shaped really ody so you gotta be patient.

I had to take it for a drive to reset all the obd monitors and it wasn't really louder than stock that I could tell. I need a new air filter to see if that's any different.

Ha, the stock motor can barely handle itself, let alone spray.

The thought of doing and LS4 swap has crossed my mind, but I'm not entirely sure how to pull it off.

If it's the same 2.4 from the ion, which I imagine it is I seem to remember those were a little beefier than the 2.2 that was in my early ion. But the ion was a paperweight compared to a vue weightwise.

My wife and mom both had the old v6 ecotec vues and it's almost night and day with the Honda 3.5.

I pulled the equinox bar. Its different than the Vue bar, but it could be made to work with 2 plates and different endlinks.
I'm gonna continue posting about this in the build thread

Thinking about tossing all my junk into storage while I figure out where my next job will be...and then maybe riding the Dakar out to California for a spell.

My mortgage, with taxes and insurance is around $720. When you factor in all the other home ownership costs, its easily $1000+. Then factor in the time value of money. The $30k or so I put down when I moved in would've earned me $25,250 in the market by now.

Put it this way, if someone is renting you that for $1100/month, they are likely losing money or just barely braking even, and they have to deal with house bullshit while you don't.
    That's including taxes and insurance.
