Thanks for the quick replies, my problem is that the filter that came on the engine Has a 20-1.5 thread. Everything says that it should have a 3/4-16 thread. Has anyone else have this problem? I have search Wix, Fram, and AC Deco. They all say 3/4-16 thread.

I'm going to a salvage yard Monday to get another threaded nipple to sove my problem. I did manage to find a filter that would fit the threads, but the gasket fit inside of the one that I took off.

It happens, no worries. It took me a while to even find the thermostat on our 07 ION. It's not in a logical place on ecotec motors.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

Okay I'll play along. I have a '97 SL1 with 196,XXX miles, my main reason for buying it was for the fuel savings. That turned into borderline hypermiling, my best tank to date was this weekend at 46.8 mpg and a lifetime average of just over 42. I'm pleased with the car and have been impressed with the mpg for the $392 it cost to buy.

Good afternoon everyone. I've had my 01 sc2 for almost 2 years now. I'm focused on keeping it mechanically sound while doing some personal touches to it. Just want to say hi! I'm on all the Facebook pages I believe. Can't wait to get a sixthsphere sticker. Also can't wait to hear about some awesome stories!

    Welcome!

We're mulling over some new designs for a logo so I'm temporarily putting off making new stickers/vinyls until it's decided. The one I saw yesterday is pretty much perfect tho so keep an eye out

Hi I'm brand new here. I'm about to do an oil change so I'm just wondering what the difference is with Neon filter? What makes it better?

It wasn't a sarcastic comment. It is literally just a bigger filter.

Bigger filter=more filter media=lower pressure drop across the filter.

I would have tried a bigger filter, but I found a Bosch D3330 Distance Plus on clearance for $5. Figured that's a nice deal for a Bosch.
