As Brett already said I couldn't be any happier. The install was not nearly as difficult as I thought. Coming from a 034 eic to a full standalone the change was night and day. The car runs amazing and throttle response is just absolutely unbelievable. I can't thank Brett enough for the help and great deal.

If anyone is on the fence about getting set up with electromotive just pull the trigger and do it you won't regret it at all.

Tapatalk won't let me upload the video but here are two frames of my buddies boosted Miata bouncing off the limiter. He has the TecS

I personally haven't finished that on my car. Long story but I need to ditch the 4 wire IAC and swap to 2 wire IAC to free up some outputs.

How are you looking to control it? Speed based or TPS based? Or just different tunes?

No idea, just trying to find the correct way to configure it or be told to buy a controller. I would like to have two boost settings. One for low and one for high boost, my plan is to use the AC switch to activate high boost. I also need to figure out idle control. Can I use the stock IAC or do I need to buy a external valve?

You have a lot of options with boost control.

You can just run an external solenoid set up if you want to just switch between high and low boost.

    Or

If you use the TEC to control boost you can do it based on speed (boost by gear) or TPS or a preset value per tune. You'll just need something like a MAC valve it's just a 2 wire valve much like a 2 wire IAC and uses duty cycle to regulate boost.

You can use the stock IAC but it eats up 4 GPO's. I would recommend a Bosch 2 wire it's going to be the quickest reacting and smoothest. 2 wires only use 1 GPO (+12v and the GPO sends a duty cycle to the other)

I would like to use the stock IAC. It looks like I should have enough GPO's since the GT comes with 9. Let me know if that looks correct.

    1 for Fan control
1 for Hi/Low Boost control switch
1 for bosch boost control solenoid
    4 for IAC

The Bosch valve I was referring to is for IAC only as far as I know.

I believe any 2 wire boost control solenoid that uses duty cycle to ground should work.

The stock 4 wire is a finicky valve. It does work but it's kind of lethargic and needs to be reset. You can give it a try and see what you think. If you don't like it (I don't) you can always switch to the 2 wire at a later time.

I forgot that I haven't updated. I am now running speed based boost control with my TecS200 and it's working very well.

I am using a MAC valve (electronic boost control solenoid) feeding the top of my waste gate and speed input from a REAR factory ABS sensor.

The set up requires a MAG to HALL signal converter but you can purchase those through me.

The boost control rises very smooth and helps maintain traction in the first three gears then hitting full boost in 4th gear.

My set up with 80* ambient temps are as follows.

~7psi up to 20mph then begins ramping to ~11psi
~11psi at 40mph then begins ramping to ~18psi
~18psi at 55mph then begins ramping to 25psi
~25psi at 75mph and the system holds 25psi from there.

On the street that is the traction limit in the first three gears. On the track the car put down 26psi in third gear and held.

Just sold another complete TECS200 package to Jacob. Can't wait to see what his car can do! The list of builds making the switch to Electromotive keeps getting bigger and everyone who has made the switch is super happy!

Anyone that doesn't live reasonably close to me but still wants to get their hands on Electromotive I will label everything on the wiring harness for you to make the install go as easy as it can. I also am willing to come to you if you cover my travel expenses and want some help with the tuning process.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
