96 SC2 Boosted, Detonated, Then Boosted Again

hello over the xmas break i turbocharged my 96 sc2
i made my own turbo manifold and down pipe
td05 turbo from ebay via craigslist
    AEM Wide band
    raceland Coilovers
    ... stock fuel...

1 week later, i am racing a 350z and i glance to my boost gauge, its at 10psi then the car dies. After flat towing it 3 miles home i start trouble shooting and find that the waste gate lost boost reference.
Compression test came back at 0, 15, 10, and 0
I took the engine apart over the next couple of days. i Broke 3 pistons, and slightly bent a valve

fast forward 2 weeks and the head has been vacuum tested and resurfaced, the valve replaced, the block has been bored .020" over, new waste gate with a 3psi spring, and new .020" over pistons. I got the car put back together in a weekend by my self.

    ...still stock fuel...

i am going to be getting some 26# injectors from summit and a RRFPR but not for a while

    p.s. i was beating the 350z

Any reason you aren't installing some fuel management?

Sounds like fuel and ignition control are what you need...

26 pounds/hr injectors are too small and don't waste money on the rising rate pressure regulator. The stock fuel system already has one at a 1:1 rate which is perfect.

Get some way to control fuel and spark and you will be set.

If you can't wire in a Megasquirt for fuel control then you shouldn't be boosting your car. It's not that difficult.

I have decided to go with MS3 with the MS3X expansion unit. But I am not sure about injector size... I feel like 40 something # injectors would be good, I will look around to see what others have used

I only plan on running 7-8psi of boost

    Fixed.

If you can put together legos you can boost a Miata or a Civic...
