More air flow allows more fuel and that makes more power!! You really can't go wrong with a decent port and polish as long as your manifold can support it.

Ok this head has oversized valves ,can I run this on stock internals? Do I need to be concerned about the piston slapping the valve? I'm only boosting probably between 5-10 psi when I start but would like to go as far as 15-20 psi when finished! I know by the time I'm finished I will NEED forged internals but for now do I need to be concerned?

The biggest factor in success with boost is tuning/fuel management.

No one has had a problem yet, but very few I know of have run the OS valves.

I have been debating whether or not to get this head because I don't want to blow my bottom end right away. Give it a year and I'll blow it just to switch to forged internals!! Haha

The head has nothing to do with blowing the bottom end.

Normally when you pop a piston or rod, it wrecks other things as well. Like blocks, head, valves, turbos.
72 Charger: pissed me off, on jackstands.
95 SW1m: Dohc swap. DD. I can haz boost?

Well I disagree. It's the same as if you only rebuild your top end then your more likely to blow a ring or bearing. My bottom end was refreshed last year so I'm not paranoid just was concerned. A higher flowing head adds more air and more fuel. Just trying to get input from people who have been down this road! Or still on it!!
