Microsquirt - revenge of the CKP's
OK so i went ahead and setup microsquirt in my car.
quick rundown on setup:
Microsquirt V2.0
Fuel system = stock setup
Ignition system = stock setup (MS sending 5v signal to have ICM drive coils)
crank pickup = used shielded cable from DIYautotune, braided shield is used as ground per instructions and the purple connection is the signal wire. this wire is explicitly routed away from high power wires such as ignition driving and injector wires. I cant do much about the starter location though :/
Symptoms:
Cranking the engine, tunerstudio shows 250 RPM's. fine. continous cranking results in backfiring or afterfiring, throttle doesnt help. i doubled the cranking pulse modifer to 400% , no beuno. i feel like timing is off. but i cant get the engine to run to set the trigger offset.
GM 7X is selected. The other options seem logical for the setup but IDK
I will post the settings i have under ignition options. and some screenshots
waiting on my replacement phone to finish updating...
Is there a master list of the correct settings for running megasquirt on a Saturn stock controls?

not much luck. put new plugs and and now have a proper 2 wire shielded cable that has the shield grounded to the sensor grounds per microsquirt hardware manual.

It's a pretty common issue with MS on these turd buckets. That's why allot of guys run the obd1 icm and let the icm do the heavy lifting.
72 Charger: pissed me off, on jackstands.
95 SW1m: Dohc swap. DD. I can haz boost?

You have it set for "Fixed Advance" and then set Timing for Fixed advance at -10 degrees. Why? An engine would run pretty shitty with that kind of timing.
Change "Fixed Advance" to "Use Table". -- OR -- at least set Fixed Advanced degrees to something reasonable, like 10-15.

I have set it at all varieties and it doesn't start.i agree that 10* base timing would be better
