    Uhhh,, Hey folks..

I've been off the forums for a few years now, after I had passed my 95 SL2 along to my son. Well, yesterday was a sad day. But thanks to the engineering that allows these cars to eat themselves to protect their master, he only had a couple scratches. The 95 on the other hand is dead

Woah! Glad he's ok. Everytime I see one of these get in an accident, I wonder why I am still driving one.

Arnt they designed to do that though? They advertised that back in the day, I was actually just looking at a brochure from my dads 02 SC2. They talk about the space frame and crunch zones.

They are, but the difference between a Saturn (safety structure circa 1990) and a more modern car doing it is staggering. Look at any of the old car vs. new car tests on the youtubes. Saturns did well in their time... but their time is long past.

There have been a ton of pics on here over the years of crashed out s-series, I have always been amazed at how intact the cabins are. That was part of the reason I gave it to him as his first car instead of some rust bucket ford like I was blessed with. But, sadly, I think my 8lb alum. flywheel was a contributing factor to the accident (stalled crossing highway). Stay tuned for the part-out.
