    DIY Radiator Ducting

Anyone have thoughts on using Lexan or ABS for radiator ducting?
The offroad car's radiator will have to be angled to prevent it getting bent again.
The turbo car runs hot without any sort of shroud/duct.

I kinda like the idea of lexan since its clear and bendy.
But it may be too expensive for what I want.

I did the plywood splitter, and it decreased temps on my wagon. Probably not going to work on the off-road car though.

Got a pic of what you are trying to accomplish? If you have no bumper, what are you ducting?

Either of them should work. If its touching the radiator anywhere, the polycarbonate will be better than the abs. The abs is more bendy/easier to use without cracking.

Im planning on angling [Sp?] the radiator forward so that I dont bash it into the crossmember the next time I bottom the suspension out into a big whoop. Mazda RX7s often go with an angled radiator:

So with a forward angle airflow through it will go to shit, but it means its less prone to impacts and allows me to add the skid plate that I need.

Cut hole in hood and duct it up. Downforce yo!
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

Or just #scoops the hood and stuff the radiator above the valve cover. Could work since the whole powertrain was spaced down 2"

I already pulled the bent ass condenser from the car. Im gonna remove the bent radiator and see how the SRT4 rad fits in there all angled and stuff.
I should also buy some more flat stock to make mounts and junk.

I'm planning on running a hood vented radiator on the wagon, part of the reason I cut a big hole in the hood before I blew the trans up.

Ahhhhh sexy. I know I'm not talented enough to execute anything that could be called clean. lol

So you're going with the full duct throught the hood, not just mad max mounting the radiator up near the hood?

Lexan is pretty durable, lightweight, flexible(ish) and easy to work with.

    go with it.

The fan/shroud isn't the issue. Is the lack of plastic ducting into the radiator for both my turbo and rally turds. Air isn't being forced through the radiators effectively causing them to get hot even at speed.

Make a mold out of wood , then fiberglass maybe?

I don't have much experience with laying fiberglass or using carbon fiber. Molding plastic and screwing/gluing it together seems like it would be the easiest route.

Step 1: Literally spend no money and slap a turd fan onto the leftover SRT4 radiator with both battery mount brackets. Check
