New here
Hi my name is Jon and i drive a 1997 saturn Sc2.
I bought the car to get good fuel mileage and was able to get 43 mpgs average after a few mods but then wanted better performance and went straight to weight reduction and have shaved off over 200 lbs w a full interior. I am going to start a build thread soon...
Btw are we allowed to sell Saturn parts here?

There is a for sale section. You may not be able to see it yet since you are new.

Welcome! I'm way too happy that more people are finally showing up in Nebraska!
First autocross is April 8th in Lincoln!

I've heard they autocross in Lincoln and been wanting to go but there's no way I'll be even close to done maybe next year

There is a big stigma that you have to have a real race car or at least a fully prepped car to race. You don't, you can race a bone stock car as long as it passes a basic safety inspection (brakes work, battery secured, etc). Hell what's his name ran a wagon last year that he litterally just used as a wide load escort vehicle the week before, amber signals on top flashing away and everything.
If you are at all intrested I formally extend an invitation for a ride along in my car durring a run. Admission is free, it costs nothing but gas and time to check it out.
-
That sounds like a lot of fun I will have to see what my work schedule is like but will definitely go if I get the chance and would love to ride along !
-
It is worth the trip. If anything it teaches you the limits of your car.
April 8th. I will have to bring the SAAB. The wagon is still dead for a few more months.

I guess we should jump straight to the circling like vultures waiting for the partout?

I've always wanted a turbo car and just had to turbo a 3800 besides there is no replacement for displacement a turbo and weight reduction
