    Sluggish Caliper?

I've bled the brakes on the Vue twice now with those little handy dandy speed bleeder valves. However I'm still experiencing a pulling to the left upon initial brake application.

If I slam the brakes, it will give a slight tug left, but brake completely straight besides that. At a moderately agressive stop, it pulls left the rear end feels like it sways and then it brakes straight.

I haven't dealt with this kind of character before and am thinking that if the right Caliper is sticking or slow to extend, that it could possibly cause this pull/wiggle the car is doing.

    Other info:
    1. It has ABS, but one wheel sensor is broken
    2. It has new Hawk pads on both sides.

Which wheel is the ABS broken on? wouldn't one not working make that wheel lock up? while the others pulsed normally or does the ABS system stop working if one is broken? if not maybe the pulsing is causing that wiggle feeling

The abs light it on. It doesn't activate at all. Also I'm not locking up the wheels when I am doing all this so that shouldn't matter.

More than likely you have drums on the rear. Make sure they are both adjusted evenly. When you put the drum back on and turn it with a forceful twist there should be a slight drag to the drum so that it stops within a 1/4-1/2 turn after releasing it.
Also, leaking fluid in the drums can cause friction issues so look for leaking rear wheel cylinders. It is not as common on the Vue as the s-series but the Vue wheel cylinders will leak from time to time.
Lastly, if the rear are okay, take the from calipers apart and remove the slide pins. Clean them up and re-lubricate them with slide pin grease. Look for any abnormal wear or corrosion on them. If the pins look bad try to find new ones.
If the pins look good and are greased up, you may need a new caliper, the last thing that could go wrong is that the boot around the piston is torn and moisture is getting in there causing corrosion...which will cause the piston to bind.

If the ABS was activating you would know it. The brake pressure modulator valve starts pulsing and making a humming/grinding noise that can also be felt in the brake pedal.

Just from looking at the amount of brake dust on the left wheel vs the right, It's apparent that the right isnt engaging as much as the left. and the car likes to dip forward on moderate braking which makes me feel like the rears aren't doing a whole lot.

Since I can pick up a caliper cheap this weekend, I'll toss it on at the yard, drive around and if that doesn't fix it the "diagnosis" will continue.

Well the equinox Caliper I grabbed has a different hose mating surface than the Vue's...so that isnt going on.

However, something I notice with the brake hose unbolted from the right caliper, barely any fluid was leaking out (though it was higher than the rest of car, there should have been enough head to flow easily) . Fluid only came out when the pedal was pressed. I'm wondering if there is some resistance or blockage in that line/hose.

Checked on SF about blockages in the hoses and apparently the soft hose lining screws up causing issues like groaning brakes when releasing then from a stop and creeping forward (which I have happening) and brakes sticking on. Apparently soft hoses going bad is a common thing.

I have never seen a soft hose go bad but it can happen if the inner core becomes detatched from the rest of the hose. Maybe get some braided lines made up and see if that fixes it.

Do they make various lengths of hose that would fit the Vue? It's something I haven't looked into before. Hell, I'll need to use braided lines since the off-road car is gonna need way longer hoses to get down to the caliper.

Don't have connections like that. But I do have a RA discount code.
Just ordered two new delco hoses.
