Torque Spec and Name of Upper Dogbone Bolt?

I am unable to find a torque spec for the upper dogbone bolt that attaches to the transaxle.

It might help if I knew what it is called.

Does anyone know the torque spec and name for the bolt the pen is pointing to in the picture?

    Here's what I found....

All 5 top motor mount nuts are 37ft-lb. The 2 engine lower strut cradle bracket nuts are 37ft-lb. The 2 strut bolts are 52 ft-lb if 12.9 and 37ft-lb if 10.8 -- look on the head for numbers and the 52ft-lb ones are more of a gold color instead of black.

    25-30 lds should be plenty.
Just get it good and tight. Those don't matter much like when torque a flat surface like a head or flywheel.

Torque Spec and Name of Upper Dogbone Bolt?

I found the answer in the just arrived OEM 2000-2001 Chassis Transaxle Service Manual on p94.

It is called “Transaxle Strut-to-Transaxle Bracket Bolt”.

    Torque: 52 foot pounds.

Might also be 37 foot pounds. Seems to depend on which page you are looking at...

Did you read the quote I posted in post 2? Specifically this part....."The 2 strut bolts are 52 ft-lb if 12.9 and 37ft-lb if 10.8 -- look on the head for numbers and the 52ft-lb ones are more of a gold color instead of black"

Yep. And it looks like you were right. If I find the reference to that in the manual I’ll post it.
