Auto Tranny Input Shaft Nut Replacement
The automatic transmission input shaft nut, part no. 21001680 has been discontinued for some time.
I'll probably end up reusing the old one with some red threadlocker.
Has anyone found a suitable replacement for it?

When the nut finely loosened up on the wife's old sc2 I did the same thing.I removed the nut, cleaned the input shaft and the nut with brake clean really well then let both dry and applied red loctite. I then hammered it back on with the old ingrasoll 231 impact set to medium on 150psi shop air w/ a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter going to a short craftsman thin-wall 12 point socket. Then put a couple more drips of red loctite over the thread-to-thread area on the nut/shaft and then slapped it back togther. I held for at least 8yrs before we gave the car away.
