    Ignition control for megasquirt 2 3.0 VW Coil On Plug Mod

    So guys I'm getting close on starting to install my ms. I do have some questions on running fuel pump. I readying that people are bypassing it. I have no clue to bypass it. But I'm more wondering the VW Coil On Plug Mod. Can I run this mod instead of running logic. If so. I do have pugs from a 1.8t Passat. But another question is do I need to mod my board for this and how to wire it properly. Iv seen a couple of post one by Aaron but that's with 3.57 board.

    Well I think I found the board mod. . But by doing that. Do I have to have the logic wasted spark jumpers also.Screenshot_20190321-233515_Chrome.jpg

    Everytime I ask a satty pro for advice I always find it befor someone answers. But I like to here what they have to say couse I could be looking in the wrong area

    I have never installed VW coils on a saturn so I cannot speak about the board modes. I do think that you will need to run it in semi-sequential mode for it to work since you don't have a physical cam angle sensor for the MS to determine what cylinder is firing.

    This is info I found sofar on cop mod. Aaron did a how to with the wiring with the plugs and linking the vr I'm still wish their was more info. If anybody out their knows a little or knows alote. Share the info. I will be still digging for info. I do know this it will be easier to tune with cop ( coil on plug)

    COP or the standard OBD1 waste spark... there should be no difference in the ease of tuning between the two. Once you have the parameters set up for the type of ignition system you choose then the the only thing you need to do is adjust the spark table. The spark table is the same weather you go with COP of the ODB1 route.

    Where are these posts by Aaron. I would like more info on the coil on plug setups.
